Unfortunately for them, crucified males cannot hide their arousal when they are on the cross, even if they wear a loincloth...
Very true, AnimaSinistra.
This is one of my themes, that men and women are naked and exposed on the cross in quite different ways.
Even when fully clothed a woman finds it hard to hide whether her chest is large or small. A clothed man keeps many secrets. We can't tell if he is large or small, whole or circumcised, odd looking or pleasingly shaped, aroused or flacid.
On the cross the woman's breast is exposed, but we already knew whether it was going to be large or medium or small sized. Her private place between the legs is now exposed, but it still keeps many secrets, particularly if she is not shaved. She may be forced to open her thighs, exposed and vulnerable as never before, but no one is likely to say "wow, what big labial lips she has", or "haha, what a tiny clitoral hood", well, not very likely anyway.
A man naked on the cross has nowhere to hide. It is all there, out, exposed to our curiosity. He is open to ridicule for his size, large or small. Even his arousal is a matter of public observation and comment. His most private attributes, his most personal responses, are right there in front of us, and we do judge men by their performance, male sexuality revolves around function and men have little control over that much of the time.
Different humiliations, different experiences, male and female.
