Helmut, my fantasies are pretty much rooted in the Roman Empire, but for some reason I find the crucified terrorist scenario intriguing.

I don't think this site goes against anything Christian. But, I'm an atheist, so maybe it's not my call. Anyway, Christmas, or maybe I should say X-mas, is no longer a Christian holiday. It is a secular holiday that developed from & coincides with a religious holiday. It happens to be a major holiday in Japan, for instance, where Christians make up only about 2 percent of the population.helmut said:

On January 22 this thread will have been up for 7 Months, as we approach that mark we're also closing in on 10,000 hits and the downloads are out of sight. One thing I've learned is that the poses I like do not necessarily please the rest of you. A good example of that are the whipping scenes I enjoy illustrating, I always enjoyed them more then crucifixions and maybe in another venue whipping and such would do much better.
On the other hand every picture I make can't be a crucifixion because that too would become very old very fast. After all, one crucifixion is like the next and the results are usually the same. Also while this thread resides in area where the topic is supposed to be ancient times with Roman crucifixion you can expect to see diversions so there is something for everyone.
This year I'll continue to post a mixture of the work I've produced over the years. There will be some new stuff and some old, but the old will generally not be the work I've posted elsewhere and in that regard here is the first picture of another partial story that never made it to publication.
