Oh, mine neither in fact: I totally prefer when the protagonist dies eventually, I find that much more engaging, upsetting, and heartbreaking.
All my stories (but one) indeed do end with the death (or, the promise of the inevitable death) of the lead character, either male or female.
Still, the idea of setting a story into a museum of tortures and executions os a good one, and I think it can be used for full fledged snuff stories also.
