She seems to be hugging the post quite tightly...trying to escape those wicked lashes that are wrapped.

The sentence reads "upon her bare back" but for female miscreants the lashes are always curled around the torso....breasts and belly are never spared.

After 20 lashes on the back, this female should be turned over and the whip administered to her breasts and belly.
