Little Siss, Queen Of Valour

People underestimate how tiring it is being a slave!:p Frequent naps are usually needed, if you can lure your Mistress into bed all the better...
I'll pass it on. Maybe she can lure me if she's lucky! ;) :p :D

Erin was taken, by the Elves, back to Alfheim, but Barbaria, Siss, and Shevak stayed in Ystragarth where they were nursed back to health by Eulalia and her sister priestesses, the best of whom was Yupar.

Shevak was laying in bed, wondering if he’d ever be able to walk properly again, when there came a knock on his door.

“Come in!” he called, expecting it to be one of his nurses, but it was Roxie.

“Hi Roxie!” he smiled, “How are you doing?”

“Still having to sleep in a chair,” she smiled, sheepishly. “Blaire made such a good job that I can’t stand to lay in a bed! Eulalia thinks it’ll be at least a week before I can.”

“I shouldn’t think she’s much better.”

“No, poor Blaire. She really blames herself for not being able to resist the Dark Princess.”

He gazed at her. “Roxie, I need to tell you….she made me drive the first nail through your mother’s wrist. Only Paul could resist her.”

Tears were in Roxie’s eyes. “Your mother’s funeral is tomorrow…..can I come and sit with you?”

“I’d love you to, Roxie, I….need somebody to lean on.”

“Shevak…there’s something else…..they’ve found your father’s head, just his head, not his body. I’m sorry….” She knelt before him “…your Majesty.”

“Oh, leave it out, Roxie! Just ‘Shevak’, please!”

“Blaire says, she’ll marry you if you want her to, but you’ll have to realise, she’ll never love you. It’s nothing personal, Shevak, it’s two things really, and neither of them are your fault.”

“Being?”

“One I can never tell you….”

“That means, my father raped her.”

Roxie was stunned. “How did you know?”

“My mother told me. She knew everything he did. And the other?”

“Blaire is a lesbian. In fact, she loves me.”

“Oh.” He looked disappointed.

“I’m sorry, Shevak.”

“No, that’s OK, I understand. Blaire has never once led me to think that she did love me. Can I ask you…..?”

“What?”

“It wasn’t…my father… that made her go lesbian?”

“You don’t ‘go’ lesbian, Shevak, you either are or you’re not. You can’t credit that to your father.”

“I see.” Roxie noticed tears in his eyes.

“You’re upset about your father. I must go.”

“No, I’m upset about you.”

“Me?”

“If Blaire’s a lesbian, and you love Blaire, therefore you’re a lesbian too, and you could never love me! And that’s a shame, because I love you!”

“Do you, Shevak?” She touched his cheek, wiping away a tear. “I heard that you love my mother.”

“Well, yes, I love her too, but I can’t really marry her and make her my queen, can I? I’m not sure that Hengentre would exactly approve. I suppose there’s something about all three of you, I loved Tara, and I love Barbaria, but with you I think we can be good friends as well as good lovers, so I just hoped……”

His voice trailed off.

Roxie gazed at him. “Two things I ask.”

“Yes?”

“The first is that you’ll never be jealous of me and Blaire.”

“Roxie, Blaire can come and see you whenever she likes, and I won’t complain at all. It would be good for the three of us to stick together, after what we’ve been through. What’s the second thing?”

She went and locked the door, then slipped out of her clothes. The scars were healing, and Shevak thought she still looked stunning.

“I want you to show me what you can do with your tongue.”

It must have made it so much easier for y'all when you were school kids not to have to learn all those extra 'qu' and u's in words. ;)

Me, I'd have got the cane for 'valor'

I think it was Noah Webster who decided to get rid of all those unnecessary letters when he compiled his American dictionary.....who needs that extra "l" to write "woollen"?

Just less than a year later, two men met in the public bar of the Rattington Arms.

“Hi, Wragg! I haven’t seen you since before the war! How the hell are you?”

“Not bad, thanks, Rodent, old chap. You?”

“I’m good. Listen, I was sorry to hear about your father…..”

“Yeah. Well, wrong employer, I guess. What are you drinking?”

“Oh, a pint of Old Peculiar, thanks!”

Wragg signalled the barman. “Two pints of Old Peculiar, please!”

They took their drinks over to a vacant table.

“You still running trips up to the Defile? I saw your ad in the Chronicle, and I thought, ‘good old Rodent, never one to pass up on a business opportunity!’”

“It’s not so going to be so good now the Dark Princess has disappeared.”

Wragg nearly choked on his beer. “Disappeared?” he whipped out his notebook, this was news! “Is this the exclusive you promised me?”

“You bet. We got up there yesterday morning to find dead guards and an empty cross!”

Wragg scribbled furiously. “This’ll knock the Royal babies off the front page!”

The headlines had been full of baby talk. Hengentre had been surprised but delighted when Queen Barbaria had presented him with a baby son a few weeks ago. Only the midwife had noticed that the baby had had an unusually long tongue….

And then, another baby boy for King Shevak and Queen Roxandra! Wragg had grown sick and tired of writing baby stories, but he had to admit that the news had brought great joy to Ystragarth and Heidraen!

He screwed up the story he had been planning to submit to his editor, speculating on the possible reasons as to why Princess Blaire of Aestrador appeared to have taken up more or less permanent residence in Heidraen Castle, and fired questions at Mr Rodent.

It seemed that she’d still been there when the Racing Rodent tour had departed the night before last. Darren’s Delicious Defile Donuts bar had been closed, and a joint force of four soldiers, one from each city, had been left on guard, with another four in the guard house as relief.

When Rodent had returned the next morning, with another cart full of enthusiastic tourists, plus Darren the Donut chef, he’d discovered a scene of absolute carnage. The guards – all eight – were dead, with gaping wounds in their throats, as if some voracious monster had ripped their throats out!

And of the Dark Princess there was no sign.

“What do you think could make wounds like that?” wondered Wragg.

“I have no idea – but I hope never to meet him, her, or it!”

Wragg pondered. “Did you notice the moon last night?”

Rodent looked at him with concern. “The moon? What on earth are you talking about?”

“What was the phase of the moon? I didn’t see, I was working on another baby story, worse luck.”

“Well, since you ask, it was full, it was rising just as we got back.”

“That’s it then! Werewolves!”

“Oh yes! I see! I heard that King Hansi of Solithage is a werewolf!”

“Excellent! No evidence, but it’ll make good copy!” He picked up Rodent’s empty glass. “Another?”

“You’re a gentleman, Wragg. Same again, please!”

Paul absent-mindedly dipped a finger of toast into his soft-boiled egg the next morning, his attention on the article in the Chronicle headlined DARK PRINCESS ESCAPES.

“Eul, have you seen this?”

“Hmmm?” Her attention was on the final stages of the preparation of her morning porridge. She always prepared her own, it was the only way that she could get it exactly as she liked it.

“Someone’s sprung the DP from her cross!”

He had her attention then. “Really?”

She came over and speed read the article over his shoulder. “Damn!” she said.

Paul was unsure whether she was referring to the dark princess, or to her porridge, which had seized that moment of inattention and taken the opportunity to boil over.

He was philosophical about it. “We couldn’t keep her there for ever.”

She cleaned out the pan, wiped the hob, and started again.

“The thing about the Dark Princess,” she said, “is that she knows that revenge is a dish best served cold. She’s blind, weak, and has no Tulloth stone. There’s not a lot she can do. Both Barbaria and Roxie will guard their babies with their lives. They are in protected castles. Maybe I’ll send Yupar down to Heidraen as an extra pair of eyes, and we must be vigilant, but I think she’ll go away, recover her strength and power, and return in a year or two.”

Paul grunted his agreement, then laughed, “This fellow Wragg must be mental! Have you seen this rubbish about King Hansi being a werewolf!?”

She looked at him. “Actually, Paul, that’s true. Twenty-seven days out of twenty-eight, he’s the nicest bloke you could wish to meet. Then, when the moon is full…..” She rolled her eyes.

He was surprised. “Well, well, I’d thought I’d seen everything…..you just never can tell!”

Finally, she sat down with a bowl of porridge that was acceptable. There was silence for a while.

“Eul….”

“Yes, Paul?”

“I think I might have to find another persona, Eul. ‘Quiet’ Paul’s cover is well and truly blown, and she now knows only too well that I’m no palace servant.”

Tears came into her eyes. “Well, we knew that would happen, too. It’s been lovely having you here.”

“I’ll go tomorrow. Just one more night won’t hurt!”

They spent the day around Ystragarth, visiting Barbaria and the baby, walking in the public gardens, and then they went and sat by the Silver River, skimming stones on its calm surface, laughing and playing like children.

Their lovemaking that night was deep, satisfying and prolonged, and it was well into the wee small hours that Eulalia finally feel into an exhausted sleep.

When she woke, he was gone. He’d left her flowers, and a card, within it he’d written, ‘Sweetest Eulalia, thank you for the best time I’ve had in a very long life. You are the loveliest, cleverest, sexiest woman that I’ve met in over two miltwo and a half thousand years, and I will love you always. Merlin.’

She sat by the window, watching the sun climbing up over the Sleeping Witch, its rays reflecting from the surface of the Silver River. She hugged the card against her breasts, and wept.

THE END

I must just say thank you for all the help with this, and apologise (apologize) once again for taking so many liberties with forum members' characters! :bdsm-heart:

You shouldn't have such great names!

And special thanks to Roxie, who started it all off back on June 28th, just a little story to welcome her to Crux Forums!
