over the years, several girls have experienced severe repercussions for posing nude........among them was Carol Shaya, a member of New Yorks finest, who in August of '94, posed for Playboy......at first the Dept. ignored it but other girls on the force began receiving comments on their beat.......she was moved to a desk job......and then the interviews happened........radio, television, newspapers...........she was finally charged with unauthorized use of a uniform and unauthorized off-duty employment.........the police commission recommended one month suspension without pay but left the final decision to Chief William Bratton (after this he came to L.A. where we learned first hand what a turd he was).......Bratton fired her from the department stating that Carols Playboy appearance violated the city charter (HUH???).........she sued for $100,000 for gender discrimination based on the fact that men in the dept. had done straight porn..........she lost her case............BTW, she was paid $100,000 by Playboy for her pictorial......

Bambi was a corporal in the Marines when, in April of 1980, her Playboy pics were in "The Women of the Armed Forces" article in the magazine.........she was summarily drummed out of the forces........she appealed her dismissal and lost.........
in 1979 Barbara signed on to the Springfield, Ohio police force.........soon after she sent some photos to Playboy suggesting they might want to do something on women in law enforcement........they replied that they were very interested in doing something on HER!............at the time of her article being written, she stated that there could be repercussions......she was right............she got canned............in 1983 a somewhat fictional account of her story was made into a TV movie titled "Policewoman Centerfold" starring Melody Anderson.......
