I'm not going to lay on the platitudes and tributes. I'm not going to go on about how great you are because your head's almost too big for your cowboy hat already. I won't praise your contributions to the site, because it might make you get lazy and rest on your laurels. And, I can't make jokes about how old you are because I'll be there soon myself.

Thank you TC and everyone else. My 60th was a quiet one due to both a deluge of rain and a major construction job that the contractor actually showed up a week early!!! Since there were minor side jobs I thought I has 5 or 6 days to get done I'm scrambling to wrap them up tomorrow. Family and (physical) friends are coming over Sunday to celebrate with me but today I was embraced by friends around the world.

You never reveal your favourite drink, but do you like Advocaat?

My wife and I were in Heerlen,and we like the thick gloopy dutch advocaat, rather than the thin watery stuff exported to UK. We asked in our hotel bar for advocaat, but were met with puzzlement by the attractive young bartender. We though it was a pronuciation problem, but eventually she understood and said "Oh, you mean that strange yellow stuff. We don't sell it"
She did introduce me to Gulpener beer though, a big hit with me.
