My birthday falls on February 29th, and several years ago i found that filling in forms on line could be difficult, as some of the early systems only recognised 29th February as a date in an actual leap year, and would not accept it in any of the three intervening years. Fortunately, that problem has now disappeared.

At least two generations of Iraqis since the late 1950's were registered with July 1st as their birthday. The measure made administration easier.
