Harold Ramis

Harold Allen Ramis (November 21, 1944 – February 24, 2014)[1] was an American actor, director, and writer, specializing in comedy. His best-known film acting roles are as Egon Spengler in Ghostbusters (1984) and Russell Ziskey in Stripes (1981), both of which he co-wrote.[2] As a writer/director, his films include the comedies Caddyshack (1980), National Lampoon's Vacation (1983), Groundhog Day (1993), and Analyze This (1999). Ramis was the original head writer of the television series SCTV (in which he also performed), and one of three screenwriters for the film National Lampoon's Animal House (1978).

a naughty thing that's come my way,
sorry in advance to all Christians, Irish, Irish Christians etc. who will be offended

Jesus was Irish

He had 12 drinking friends

He trained as a carpenter

He was unemployed

He lived with his mother till he was 33

He thought his mother was a virgin

His mother thought he was God.

Google saluted Saint Patrick's day today but bannered Christmas as 'happy holidays'...

just a grouse -
I like Google's homepage today, very pretty, very clever,
but sooooooooooo US-centric!
It may well be the first day of spring in (parts of) the USA,
it certainly isn't in large parts of the world, anywhere south of the Tropic of Cancer,
and even here in the UK, our met office counts March 1st as the start of spring
for their weather records, which is reasonable even for Scotland.
 :p

Most meteorologist in the northern hemisphere also consider March 1 the first day of spring.
Google can call St. Patrick's day just that but not Christmas 'Christmas'.

Anyway it is still a good day north of the equator to start planting slaves...
