And needing a bloody gutsy red wine to wash it all down.
has to be whisky

our saying sounds like wat een boer nich kent vret a nich.............in english it could be translated in the same way
but we say 'what the eye does not see,
the heart doesn't grieve over'
(which is sadly the motto of too many British eating-houses :boaa:)

ABBA collaborator Rutger Gunnarsson dies

Swedish musician Rutger Gunnarsson, known for his bass playing on ABBA records and tours, has died at the age of 69, Universal records announced Friday.

He died at his home in Stockholm, but the cause and date of his death were not revealed.

"Rutger was most known for his long and close collaboration with Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and ABBA, having worked on all their albums, singles, tours, films and musicals," Universal said in a statement.

Bass fans are particularly fond of his contributions to hits like "Dancing Queen", "Knowing Me Knowing You" and "Money, Money, Money".

The four members of ABBA, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 69, Agnetha Faltskog, 65, Ulvaeus, 70, Andersson, 68, have not played music together since 1986.

Pp hopes that the latest version of his trademark Gibson guitar, all of which were called Lucille, was not too far away. Pp has his copy of the album BB King recorded with Eric Clapton called Riding With The King playing right now.

I feel strange giving your post a "like" because it is very sad news. I love the blues and BB King was a favorite, along with the great Howlin' Wolf. I have many albums of BB King, and love them all. The blues just got a little bluer:(
Besides his great music, BB King always seemed to be a great person. In every interview I read of his, he seemed to be a nice man.
RIP BB. Lucille can now rest too.

Lucille -

I am going to put on some BB King right now, pour me some Maker's Mark Kentucky Bourbon Whisky, and raise my glass to the king!
I just recently found out why Maker's Mark spelled Whisky without the "E". The family that founded Maker's Mark, and still runs the show, were from Scotland, and they spell whisky without the "e" in Scotland. Maker's is by far the best whisky made in the USA. They just introduced a new product, Cask Strength, the proof is between 108-114, depending on what batch it is from. Mine is 111.6. Only the best for toasting BB King tonight!

Pp did so with some single malt last night and will do so again tonight. Too much BB King in his collection not to extend out the grieving. process.
