Sunday, June 4, 1944…

Another dinner with high ranking Nazis- Eul, Siss, Jade, Messa, and I have become practically property of Nazi officers. I really am grateful that Hermann has established I am his. I don’t know how the others can stand being bedded with these goons.

Across the channel Allied forces are waiting for the weather to break to mount the invasion of France. A young stenographer at Briton’s MI6 was pressed into service to help calm the troops that are soon to storm the beaches of Normandy.

She seemed rather adept at it…

It may not have been pleasant for the Purple Orchid but all the Nazi officers (except Rommel) were in a jovial mood and chatted openly about the foolishness of the Allied forces attempt land at Calais as the concrete reinforced bunkers housing guns as large as any allied battleship would easily deny any attempted invasion. Rommel left the gathering early saying “You are more interested in these cunts than the wave that is about to sweep over us. Even if they sail right into our guns they have more ships than we have ammunition to sink them. Enjoy your night!”

He stormed out of the room and the other Germans laughed and said “he always is so serious! He needs to learn the joys of life.”

They chatted about mundane things like train schedules and troop movement. The women looked bored but remembered everything. That night the Purple Orchid dutifully transmitted all they heard. The next day P-47s would strike supply trains heading to the French coast…
