I've been a lurking member for a while. Guess it's time to come out of the closet.
The crucifixion kink arrived when I was quite young. The school I attended would have May Day celebrations every year, with Maypole dancing and maidens with flowers in their hair in wispy white dresses. Every year a May Queen would be selected along with two attendants.
I started to fantasise how it would be if the Queen and her two attendants were crucified like Jesus and the two thieves as part of the celebrations. That it was part of the ritual, and that the May Queen knew she had to go to the cross as part of her duties. That she would have to die, along with her attendants.
I imagined they'd be calm about it. Going willingly, and that they knew it was expected that they would try to survive for as long as possible. Indeed they would be encouraged to stay alive. Given water, having oil rubbed on their bodies to stop the sun burning them up too much. There was an honour in being the last to die.
I imagined that the crosses would be lowered at sunset to allow the girls to rest overnight (although they would remain nailed in position. Perhaps their families would be allowed to stand vigil with them. At sunrise the crosses would be raised again and their suffering would continue. people would enjoy the spectacle of the three maidens but there wouldn't be any malice or spite. The girls had to die as part of the celebrations.
When it was over the bodies would be left hanging to be picked clean. The crosses and remains would be burned as part of the midsummer celebrations.
So I suppose a ritual sacrifice rather than an execution. But that's my fantasy. Of course in the context of the site the ages of the girls would be of legal age (remember I had these fantasies when I was quite young.) But I still think about this. A lot.
