Thanks for the welcome! You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find people who are interested in crucifixion like me.

As a child, I was fascinated by Jesus' crucifixion. I read the Bible, watched movies (and musicals) based on his life, went to church, Bible studies... and I found myself longing to be up on a cross.

In my teenage years, I wrote a passion play for the Bible School I was going to for a few summers. It never was performed. I recently (2011) found the proposal - complete and most of the script. It was for children 13-17 years old. I was 14/15 at the time. Being the ego-centric child that I was, I took the role of Jesus. :) I wanted to go through everything he did in the play. Including the crucifixion.

Ever since finding the material again, I find myself thinking what could have been...?

Just in case you're wondering, my avatar is a school picture taken around the time of age 16/17, shortly after writing the material.

Did you ever think of playing JC in JC Superstar?....Youngsters can get easily carried away with the role..I've seen it happen.

I'm a huge fan of JCS. I've seen it onstage 7 times (5 different productions and multiple viewings of some of them) and am a huge fan of the 1973 film and the 2000 remake. I have been in JCS once (2003) and understudied Judas, Jesus, Pilate and Annas during that production. Got play Annas a couple of times during rehearsals but never performed a major role during performances. I was cast as an Apostle, Mob member and a pimp (in the Temple). The production ran for two weeks and it was an amazing experience.

If you'd like to hear more about my Passion Play, I'd be willing to tell stories in another thread.

I've seen it many times. Judas Iscariot must have one of the most difficult singing parts. If you want to relate stories about your Passion Play we have an Excellent Coffee Shop where you will be welcomed by our resident Ulrika.

Judas is the hardest role ever written for the stage for a tenor.
Is the Coffee Shop you speak of here on this site? I'd love to tell you all some of my youngster ideas.

You can download one of these to your computer - click to see it fullsize, then right click and select 'save image as', choose where you want to store it on your hard disk, and click 'save'. Or find any pic on the Forums or elsewhere on the net and download it the same way.
[Note: several of these avatars are now in use - 19.02.2013]
Once you've got a suitable pic to use for your avatar stored on your computer, it's quite easy.
1 Put the cursor on your name near right end of top bar, don't click until a dropdown menu appears,
2 then click 'Avatar' on that menu,
3 click 'Choose File',
4 which will bring up your own hard disk directory, where you find and double-click on your chosen pic.
Then it should appear in the Avatar box.
If it doesn't, it's probably because the pic's unsuitable in some technical way, you may need to try one or two others.
If you have any further problems, do contact any staff member -the home page shows which staff are online - click on their avatar, then on 'Start a Conversation' on the ID card that comes up.
