I get it - really. This is something I've never told anyone close to me. Having these kinds of vivid sexual thoughts feels a bit like being gay back in the 1950s. People won't literally attack you, but you can almost feel their disgust if they knew.
Ironically, in my "regular" life, I work in a profession dedicated to easing people's suffering. I do my best to help others and make their lives better. I didn't ask for these thoughts, and I've never been through any trauma or abuse that might explain them. They're just there in my head.
But seeing how many others are here with similar experiences (and I'm pretty new to this forum too), I can honestly say you're not alone. There are plenty of us dealing with the same thing, trying to reconcile these thoughts with the rest of our lives. It's a relief to find a place where we can be open about it.

Every time another person joins this forum, I feel a little bit less alone with my 'preferences'.
