That is one of the nice things about these pictures, the models really do suffer, but not terribly. They are likely to be able to take a break for an hour or so and then do another session. If they were whipped excessively, it would not be as pleasant a picture and they would need weeks to recover. However, a little light whipping, leaving just some red marks would enhance these, I think.
Mark, many sites feature the kind of light whipping leaving lash marks you describe, but Cruxdreams isn’t one of them. The best we can hope for in the case of Makar's maidens fair is somebody doing some skilled postwork.
