Strolling back through Foundation memory lane I encountered these from 2007, along with Jastrow's commentary.

It does seem strange that we do depictions of the most violent, horrific means of execution on helpless nude women and no one bats an eye, but a dead kitty.....? Watch out. When I was in basic training in the Army they were teaching us survival skills and the instructor was about to kill and skin a rabbit. All these tough soldiers got upset and were going, "Oh, man, don't hurt the little bunny...."

Anyway, for the sensitive ones in the group, here's a revised version of the rendering with just one kind of pussy--not the impaled kind. I've also taken out the flying bugs that were attracted to it.
