I had the privilege many years ago to correspond with Amber thru chat and she gave me some valuable pointers.
She also had a high tolerance for and enjoyed pain (well she told me she did) but she always maintained her self worth.
I've known other bondage models and some of them suffered from really poor self image. Amber never seemed to.

As a man of culture, however, I salute you.
Her high tolerance of pain was certainly evident from her Chamber of Bells pictures. I am tempted to regard her pain tolerance as more than simply 'high', because I find it more like 'unreal'.
And while my opinion might certainly be wrong, I do think her enjoyment of pain translated into something higher than sexual pleasure. She, in all her pictures, seemed to have experienced something akin to spiritual enlightment. Her suffering on the cross, especially, gave me the impression that she ascended to a higher plane of existence, both literally and figuratively.
Lastly, informing us that Amber maintained her self worth and self image was stellar. I should know better than to start speaking ill of countless other ladies who have been crucified for our appreciation and even pleasure, but they did tend to give out the vibe that they couldn't wait to be let free. I understand, of course. To be crucified is naturally torturous and wanting it to stop is normal.
But, I didn't get that vibe from Amber in her pictures, especially in her crucifixion pictures. The vibe I got from her was one of challenge. As if she were asking who would break first: we the viewers, who are enjoying everything that was Amber from the safety and comfort our number, our health, and, yes, our clothes, or she, with nothing to hide but all the pains in the world to endure?
In many ways, the unavailability of her videos is both a curse and a blessing.
A curse, because not being able to see them is like not being able to see Vertigo and The Godfather.
A blessing, because once you have seen them, everything you see in regards to GIMP or BDSM afterwards would lack something. You don't know what that something is, but you describe it as "It is good, but it is not Amber."
