Despite being crisp, which is an iron ore mine.
The giant machine moving, huge trucks like escape from the machine along with the tiny men, yes, all this looks like a science fiction movie scene.

Probably this one is for open pit mining of lignite near Aachen, Germany (there is a power station visible, left in the background).
Slow vehicles, very difficult to overtake.
But never argue with the driver!

Impressive but watch this one!!! At the 1987 Talladega 500 Bobby Allison's car blows a right rear tire while driving over 210 MPH. He climbs out of the car uninjured mere moments later. At about 1:30 into this clip they replay the wreck in slow motion. If you watch when his car begins to fall from the catch fence it goes under the flag stand and the official is already waving the caution flag!!!

Talladega is built on the site of a WWII Army Air Force field (some of the runways remain and are visible in areal shots both in the infield and outside the track). The airfield was built on an ancient Indian burial grounds, as is now the track...
