Odds And Ends And Anything You Fancy

This is pretty crap, but enjoy the witch being hanged, and cursing MacIntyre Stewart.
Just one point, the witch says she was hanged by order of King James I of England (& VI of Scotland) in 1648 - However "James himself died on 27 March 1625".
1648 was Charles the first being chased by Oliver Cromwell unless I am much mistaken.

Anyway, something completely different. Might not be new for most of the US members here but I only read it last week.
In Luna's story the question of the malleability of memories appeared. How people (especially children, but it's not exclusive to them) can, by suggestive questioning etc., be made to remember things that didn't happen.

That's one side.

The other side of course has always been systematically interrogating against the factually correct memories of a victim until she recants and tries to un-remember under duress.
The case of 'Marie' in this report sadly isn't so unusual; it's the happy end that's unusual.

Yes, this is one of the elements of my story, in the following chapters will be deepened with a lot more disturbing aspects.

This has parallels with the way Amanda Knox was coerced into accusing Patricio Lumumba the propriety of the bar "Le Chic", and then convicted of perjury.

 that's a very dirty trick indeed!
(clever, though  :D)

I can imagine the conversation between the navigator and the driver.
"In 200 m, there is a sharp turn to the left!" (navigator)
"Right!" (driver)
"No, to the left in 150 m!"
"In 150 m! Right!"
"I said! Over 100 m, a sharp! Turn! To the left!"
"Damn, all these right turns! Comes up a sharp one next? Right!?"
"To the left!!! There!"
"Oh, shit!"
"Right!"
