I think that with this method of keeping captives in cells (they are shackled or in stocks and immobilized), all their naked bodies (and the entire cell room) will be smeared with their shit, urine, vomit and other human excrement. The bladder and bowels will empty as they become full. I doubt that these prisoners have a sanitary hour to go to the general prison toilet and I am sure that they do not use toilet paper or napkins.
Who cleans up all this crap after them? I feel sorry for the executioners and jailers who will be forced to get dirty with their excrement... This is not at all sexy and does not excite (the picture does not correspond to reality).

Also it makes escaping quite easy, resulting severe punishment. Such wire will get cut after bendind couple of times from side to side.

It seems to me that it would still be more correct to place the images in the form that the author originally intended. It is no coincidence that all the "photos" of his series, called "Mugshot", have in the upper right corner an image of the subject before the arrest. It is this contrast, in my opinion, that gives an additional strong expressiveness to portraits.
