This picture shows a few Belgian women "inspecting" an abandoned German machine gun position, shortly after the Armistice of November 11th 1918.

Some identify the woman on the right, apparently eager to try out the machine gun, as Barbara De Moor, a far relative of the well known Minnesota branch... :icon_tfno:

After inadvertently riddling and bringing down a British observation balloon, she was apprehended, tried irregardless of the Armistice as a saboteur, and duly publicly hanged.
