Excuses, excuses. They justified rape and pillage because it is fun. Nothing to do with race. Every man( ok) most. would enjoy forced sex without any commitment. Men are ruled by their hormones or as Archie Bunker said "whoresmoans "
Sorry, but I have to disagree on both of these points. Firstly, we've seen racial difference being used as a justification to commit such a crime as rape throughout history.
Most of us can feel empathy for the sufferings of our fellow human beings as we tend to identify us with them and imagine their pain as our own. As such, we often require some way to break that mental tie between 'us' and 'them' to be able to do truly horrible things to others.
For instance, a group of people may have a different religion than our own which 'proves' that they are evil people who spread only lies. Or they can belong to a different social class or have a different nationality whom, as a group, have done us many wrongdoings in the past , so it's only right to take a revenge on them, and so on.
Racial difference has served such a purpose on many occasions in the past too, justifying many different kinds of the atrocities people commit against a different group of people, which of course include rapes.
Moreover, sometimes rape is used as a systematic tool to perform a 'ethnic cleansing'. Let's say we have a 'problem' which is the existence of an 'inferior' race near or within our borders, causing all sorts of (perceived) trouble, for example. One way to 'solve' this problem is to kill their male population while raping their women. If they get pregnant, they should be grateful for us, because we gave them a chance to distill their 'inferior' genes with our superior ones.
And if we do it diligently enough, the next generation of that inferior people will get better than their pathetic present form. They will be less unruly than the current generation of those troublesome people, since it's their inferior genes that make them more prone to crimes and other despicable acts.
It can also be conceived as a more convenient, and even be more 'humane' way of dealing such a problem, since the alternative is to kill every one of them, including all women and children.
Even when we don't use rape as a tool, racial difference can make us feel less guilty when we commit that crime. They are closer to beasts than us civilized people, so they live according to animal instincts anyway. They don't really understand such concepts like female prudence or modesty, unlike our ladies at home. So what do they have to lose if we give them a chance to experience having sexual pleasure from a real man whose physical traits much superior to those of their pathetic male folks?
And if they get pregnant, it must be a blessing to them since the baby would look more beautiful, taller, and probably also smarter than their ugly childlings. Besides, it's quite an ordeal itself, having to stay in this dirty, humid place away from the family and friends. We are only suffering this in order to teach those uncivilized brutes how to properly run their country because they can't do it themselves. So, why not having some fun, at least, while we are helping them?
That's how you justify rapes with the racial difference and it's been often practiced in the past, unfortunately, and probably will be in future.
As to the claim that men are ruled by hormones, yes it's largely true. But it doesn't make females an exception to the rule as we are all animals ruled by our instincts at the core.
However, the whole point of civilization - laws, ethic codes, etiquettes, customs, and so on - is that it's a system of suppressing more unruly part of those instincts, so that we can live with each other more harmoniously rather than raping and killing each other all the time.
