Sorry I'm late replying as I've been consulting with the religious scholars of Khabadami. They are not aware of any side effects. As far as birth control is concerned if it is irreversible as with castration for example then along with other Muslim countries that would be forbidden. Reversible control such as the pill is however permitted with the consent of the wife. I took that with a pinch of salt and pointed out that sex slaves were not wives but property and that guidance would hardly apply. The king is well known for his right wing views and is of the go forth and multiply persuasion which accounts for the crippling tax on birth control pills. So, for the moment it is cheaper to use the local blacksmith than part with a small fortune for a supply of pills.
