She's not just wearing a lock, it's a chastity belt. I think the reason for the gloves is that those dry rattan fronds are razor-sharp, and her Owner doesn't want slavegirl's blood all over his newly thatched roof.

Those are the right priorities. But still, it gives her the wrong ideas.
I know that it is a chastity belt, I mean the chastiy belt is a lock, like a collar. It is still a form of bondage she is placed in, to show that she is property.
