That one where she is looking at the rotted corpse next to her is actually quite horrifying. like it was left there as an additional means to mentally fuck with the other person who is still alive, but may as well be dead already. Also, did the romans actually nail (heh) the genital areas like that as well? Not my idea of fun.....

Andyman, I decline to whine about how naked they should be. Plenty of people get off on loincloths, and it’s not like you skimp on bare-ass nudity.

I'm still catching up. So many interesting pics over the last few weeks, Andyman, so many powerful and original images. I'll comment on just this one.
A nail, and a small piece of wood. Does it cover or does it accentuate, draw attention to the genitals? She sits hard on the nail, it presses her woman's parts, and the wood hardly covers. Her secret flesh is there, peaking out from behind, rubbing on the iron, on the rough wood. It is not hard to see. Belly tight with effort, body struggling for life, she is given no dignity.

The reminiscence of the classical Cross Road in the female variation: the stripping before scourging, Ecce Homo scene with Pilatus, dragging the patibulum, necessary defloration (which must be done in public, because she was burdened with a beam and leaded to Golgotha immediately after she was sentenced), the nailing, the placing of the titulus overhead, and finally the Annas and Caiaphas with Pharisees looking and mocking at the crucified. The more or less historical scenes and a symbol of never-ending drama of an individual confronted with the System, the asking about the limits of our bestiality.

Good point, though of course a big iron nail could be re-used,
even taken to the military blacksmith for re-forging and sharpening -
I imagine a cruel carnifex keeping a favourite nail reserved for that purpose,
with notches for every girl he's tortured to death on it
