I think Duncan is going to abandon Sophia, next; leave her to stew in her own juices for a few days - longer than she wants, so that she is required to do some work, forced to process.

That is a perfect idea. Will he be actively avoiding her, or just not contacting her? How badly will she freak out? I can’t wait to find out.
