See what I mean! BTW that was {Barbara}'s most modest outfit on the whole mission!
And that's what I call wearing!
Sometimes even modest ones (OK, it was for a funeral)View attachment 618072Just want people to know that I do wear clothes ... sometimes
The big butt version, right Barbaria!?can we assume there is a Big Caprice out there?
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sleuth and fight forever and a day
We'd pursue the case we choose
We'd fight and never lose
As long as you agreed to do things my way

Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That no one wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Although you know the snow will follow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Without a hurt the heart is hollow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
The fire of September that made us mellow.
Deep in December, our hearts should remember
And follow.
Jerry Orbach's GREAT, but little remembered performance in the Fantasticks in 1960, just before the mission. He is greatly missed. This touched a nerve with me.

A much younger Jerry from the Fantasticks:

And what a Dad. Remember how his daughter could totally count on him! And when he realized the Yale boy waiter (see, Yale) was a philandering scumbag, he took back his tip check! I cheered when I first saw that!Played a 1860s dad in “Dirty Dancing”

Understand! 42 year run off Broadway! The Fantasticks ended its 41 year run on January 13, 2002. When El Gallo sang those lines at the finale the cast, crew and audience broke out in sobs. I was going to post a pic of the WTC, but I still hate even looking at such.
yes you are right 41, just a few months shy of 42Understand! 42 year run off Broadway!

Went to a local theater's production in Reno in November 2001. El Gallo struggled with "September".Four months after 9/11. "September" and "fires" were the trigger words. Still are, dammit.
Sorry, please continue.

BTW, my daughter was born on September 11th. For a long time she resented the symbol 9/11 since everyone acted like her birthday was a time to mourn. She's been in NYC for 8 years and has come to peace with the issue.
