Well, after a nice hot shower to loosen up my muscles I lay down on the floor and stretched out my arms as though my wrists were being nailed to a crossbeam. This is the easy part. I then bent my legs and twisted my hips over to one side while keeping my shoulders against the floor (the imaginary cross under me). This is much like a stretching exercise I do at the gym. My shoulder opposite my bent legs was strained as I tried to keep it in contact with the floor. Not easy! My lower back was strained by the twisting of my hips (oh, to be as supple as I was back in my cheerleading days!). With one foot over the other my ankles are in contact. If someone was sitting on my bent over thighs it would be fairly easy to pin them down against the ground. Pounding a single long nail through the sides of my ankles should be easy enough. Very horrible position to be in once raised!

Amazing experiment. It's something I would have done way back in time, when my body was more supple, just to find out empirically what it possibly would be like.
