As to agony, I am wondering about one simple task: Did victims cry, scream and moan all the time until total exhaustion?
Is it possible to get used to the pain of crucifixion in the run of time? I have read that the scale of agony and speed of exhaustion depends as well on the position of crucifixion. I have read that breathing is not that much bothered if the victim is crucified with highly bent knees. Is that true? Is it possible that in such settings the victim even falls asleep?
I feel not attracted by pictures showing bodies that already had been badly injured by scourging.
Greatings to all
