Epilogue- part two
Much history has passed since Judith was crucified and died on her cross. Most ‘civilized’ nations had ceased using executions as a form of punishment and those few that still employed it did so in private controlled places. It was in the 21st century that that Queen Felicity the 28th, in an effort both to balance her country’s budget and bring back the honored slaughtering of women figured out a way around the ban of publicly putting women to death. In asly crafty way she began the ‘Rites of Spring Princess Judith Commemorative Art Festival’ where on the first day of summer a young woman would be crucified and hang from the cross for a twenty-four hour period.
Even though the winning contestant would be nailed to the cross and hang naked from the devise for a day, the queen’s contest drew women from all over the world. This was quite amazing since the winner’s crucifixion indeed used nails to attach her to the cross and no amount of begging or pleading would shorten their tome on the cross, it had become such a popular event the list of contestants had to be narrowed before they were allowed to come to Cruxtonia.
Even though the women had to be nude the whole time they were in Cruxtonia, there was no difficulty in getting contestants.
The country of Cruxtonia took special care to enhance the revenues the contest brought. An example is the iron-clad contract with the Crux Chronicle media group that has all recording rights to the contest. They pay dearly for it and if you want high quality photos or video you have to get them from the Chronicle group. Of course, with fine contestants vying for the top prize it goes without saying you want pictures.
Winning the contest is hard enough to do. There is the saying ‘the winner got the king’s dick the hardest’ but the reality is which woman would appeal most to the current Queen Felicity because even though the king is officially the judge it is no secret that the queen is the final vote.
Winners of the festival have done very well beyond the generous cash prize, usually landing lucrative fashion and movie contracts after the contest. But winning isn’t easy as the winner must survive the 24 hours she must spend crucified. Around half do not.
This brings us to this year’s contest where a Professor Barbara Moore from the University of the Virgin Martyrs has entered. She is attractive enough to win but entered with a hidden agenda.
Barbara is determined to prove the festival is a perverse method to continue Cruxtonia’s disgusting history of publicly executing women! She does indeed win the grand prize and on the morning of the first day of summer she is loaded with a beam of wood that will become part of her cross and has to carry it up the hill to her crucifixion. Barbara’s guards are the runner-ups in the contest and there is nothing worse than women who lost a contest to you to be in charge of you trek up the hill.
At the top of the hill a crew assembles the cross and nails Barbara to it. She is raised to hang before the crowd until the same time the next day. Real guards keep the rowdy crowd back from the crucified woman.
One hopes Barbara can make it till the next day…
That concludes Judith’s story. A hearty thanks to CF members I liberally borrowed to add to the story and to Barb for being the epilogue star. And most to JudithJesus who was more than just a nudge to write this. Her ‘Crucify Me’ thread was the trigger. I hope you all enjoyed the perils covered here.
