Many thanks Steve!!!!Rather than going to the Lord Provost, the chief magistrate of Edinburgh, with his accusation, Seton decided to trap Gilly in his mansion and torture her himself to extract a confession.
Thank you @Harsh Martinet for the inspiration.

I'm excited with your come back! Petra is one of my fave series, and recently The Witch also became one now. We'll waiting patiently of your upcoming renderings because it worth the wait! Inquisition or Witch Trial is always be great themes for me (and most of us in here), so we keep encourage you to post anything of your art works in here.Don’t worry, there are more renderings to be posted and THE WITCH is not yet finished.
I have now done the same number of renderings in THE WITCH as I did in PETRA, and will surpass it with the next posting, which is a personal milestone.
Well done Sir, and thanks for sharing. After the fifth hammer strike and twist of the wedge, Anges could take it no longer and she pleaded with the High Examiner to stop. He told her the only way to stay his next hammer strike was for her to confess. Beyond her breaking point, Agnes finally confessed to being a witch.
The High Examiner raised the hammer again and demanded the names of Anges’ accomplices. Through sobs, she said there was no one else, just her. Agnes braced herself for another unimaginable hammer blow, but it never came.
The High Examiner took pity on her and said this was enough, his job was done.

Ommmooo @Steve .. i m glad to see you active again and see your series. I m very happy that you enjoy my ordeal by @moebiusPlease indulge me with a personal note - I did THE WITCH to commemorate the 20th anniversary of my PETRA series. That was the first time I had done a series of any kind and it wasn’t even for any website, but the email group that was the predecessor of Crux Forums.
When I did PETRA, only Quoom had done an illustrated complete crux series (and he did that before he was known as Quoom). Since then, there have been many extraordinary crux series, from Jedakk, to our very own @mp5stab , and more recently, Mobius’ @Yupar story.
When I committed to do a new series to commemorate PETRA’S anniversary, I decided to do an original story on a topic we haven’t seen many complete series about – witch trials. The most known series was done, once again, by Quoom, and there is also the excellent work by Medooza.
I hope THE WITCH is remembered fondly as well. I’m grateful to Crux Forums and appreciative of you all in knowing that my comic book-style art is still valued, even with the benefit of the current technological boom.
Don’t worry, there are more renderings to be posted and THE WITCH is not yet finished.

Lastly, there are many fantastic artists on CF, and I hope you all gain inspirations to let your creativity run wild and do more complete series, be it on witch trials, crux, or any other topic. We’ll be all rewarded as a result.
I do love bitey tools with long handles. The head tourniquet is a nice touch we don't see very often.Flashback time again. Even after poor Gilly confessed to being a witch, David Seton continued his relentless torture, demanding she name all her accomplices. She named anyone she could think of, desperate to please him so he would stop, but he continued. She eventually blurted out Agnes’ name, which she immediately regretted.
Thank you for the suggestion, @Bill8816
