I'll try to create a thread for my own work. All of them are made using Photoshop and are devoted to three main themes: hanging, beheading and impaling.

When you insert a new object into a photo, try to make the edges slightly transparent (when cutting out from the background, slightly blur the borders, 1-3 pixel, no more). This will make the new object not stand out so much from the photo you insert it into. It is also a good idea to slightly adjust the transparency of the new layer, between 98 and 85%. this of course depends on the object you put in and the background it will be on, you have to experiment each time.
