"Hexen Geschandet zu Tode Gequält"
That may be translated by : Witches tortured to death (?)
A german movie of 1972 by Adrian Hoven

Not to be confused with: "Hexen bis aufs Blut gequält" (1970) by the same director and which is well known under the title : "Mark of the devil" with the famous tongue ripping scene (most of the time censored at the time of its release in theaters).

Here are some pictures of the one from 1972.

The original "Mark of the Devil" (Hexen bis aufs Blut gequält) was directed by Michael Armstrong. Adrian Hoven claimed to have had a hand in the directing but Armstrong denies it, claiming Hoven, who had a small part in the film, at most only did some second unit shots after principal photography was completed. Armstrong got a screenplay credit on "Hexen geschändet und zu Tode gequält", "Mark of the Devil II" in the US, but had a falling out with the producers and refused to direct. Hoven was brought in to direct and rewrote the script.
The first film is by far the superior of the two.

There are photos of scenes on the internet that are not in the movie (Mark of Devil 1). Perhaps these are cutted scenes or those that were made for promo-posters. Or is that what was behind the scenes.

Also from the film Mark of the devil (2) is a photo from a scene that didn't make it into the film. The photo even appeared as a poster photo in the cinemas. When I first saw the film, I was disappointed that this scene was missing. The actress, Erika Blanc, can also be seen completely naked in other films.

There is a very graphic film adaptation of the classic (1972), the famous novell of Lope de Vega "Fuenteovejuna".

As you know, according to the plot, the ecclesiastical and secular authorities brutally torture the inhabitants of the rebellious village, demanding to confess who killed the royal governor. The rebels show great steadfastness and do not betray the culprit.
The film is on YouTube (but in poor quality). It is possible that someone knows a better quality.

That's one I did some time ago and posted on the GIMP forum, I don't remember if I did here too. Glad you liked it enough to post.
More of your work being posted here wouldn't be a bad thing. Just sayin'.
