Usually I fancy the idea of a crucifixion in full public view, like in a death show.
It adds to that mixture of humiliation and... pride (entertaining a large audience with suffering and nakedness and death) that I crave for and fantasize about.

However, the idea of a fully isolated crucifixion and dealing with it (the silence, the weather, vultures and crows, the desperation of suffering and dying alone, etc etc) has its own perks as an erotic fantasy...

Interesting. What if you were in a dark, empty chamber. No weather, no birds, no light, no audience, no anything. The idea that your crucifixion is so unimportant that you are just crucified and left to rot.

I understand that someone might find that thrilling, but honestly it's not for me.

An empty dark chamber it's so... devoid of anything, that IMHO makes also 'my' crucifixion less important.
I either like a crowd enjoying 'me' snuffin' it, or, as an alternative, an interesting forest scenario to keep 'me' spirited and alive until the very end, with a nice view.

An empty dark chamber seems to me like... I'm already dead.
Which, I repeat, I understand why it can resonate with someone's fantasies, but personally I like the idea of death being the destination of the travel and not the whole travel experience.

I dunno if I managed to explain myself...

You explained it most excellently. And it is good that you know your mind that way.

To me, it seems like the worst thing you could do to a victim is to make their torture and death so unimportant that no one knows or cares. But then, I always see myself as the Chief Torturer and Lord High Executioner. ;-)

Ah ah, okay, I understand that! :sisi1

instead, I always see myself in the executee's shoes, and while I can deal with idea of being subject to exposure, suffering, and death (that's the whole point, right?), I don't fancy the idea of being utterly debased or, worse, being considered unimportant.

I don't pretend necessarily to be at the very center of the show (*), but at least of being part of a good show.
A show that entertains someone, and that, thus, has some intrinsic value.

(*) However, I confess that in all my stories my protagonists are at the center of the show.
Sooner or later I shall write something with the protagonist being just one of the many, nameless executees.
That would be a change for me.
