I concur with @mark sessnatz - has to be a single tail, some variety of “short” bullwhip or signal whip. Probably has a thick knot on the cracker to leave such deep impact strikes. Or possibly a metal bead? I was getting deep divets from the impact when MASTER used my scourge on me but without the cuts. He did cut me with our signal whip but without the divets…

A single tail is more stingy than a multi-tail but if you add beads, a length of barbed wire, or nails or etc to a flogger it can become a nasty scourge which can hurt even more….

I think the truth is both styles of whip can become devastating. When MASTER whips this slave, HE tries hard not to break the skin too much. Obviously if HE didn’t take such care I wouldn’t submit to him. Safe, Sane, Consensual.

That woman’s back is about the maximum I’d want to experience, there could indeed be some scars, I’m currently still recovering from Dore Alley and the marks still show…

Single tails, bullwhips, something called a dragon tail…most single leather whips as opposed to multiple floggers like cat ‘o nine tails.
Most thin things like a cane, rod, branch, what have you will do the trick.
Also greatly depending on the hide used, some more rough than others.

i think single tails are more efficient to provide pain because all the strength from the executioner to the slave's body flogged are more concentrated on a single tail.
