No, it’s far better to keep a slave guessing. First administer the 25… then announce another 100 is due just because it’s a slave… wait for the wail of despair and make the slave count… if it loses count, add another ten for each error until it gets the count right! Another variation would be to start all over again if the worthless slave looses count, etc…

That could potentially lead to an endless whipping? Day in day out, weeks, months… all the time keeping the slave in chains but fed and watered so it may continue to endure the crushing pain and weight of its interminable, unending enslavement and punishment…
