I've seen it but I haven't got it. It depends what you're looking for, of course ,
but I think it's a pretty serious exploration of the mind and motives
of a girl I can identify with. As to the X-Cross and whipping scenes,
they're good, though probably not the best Avila's done.

This series on Mary Catherine reminds me of when I was growing up attending Catholic school. Occasionally we would have a day of religious retreat and we would be encouraged to meditate on the sufferings of Jesus and imagine ourselves being crucified. I particularly enjoyed the scouraging and nailing meditation. My erotic thoughts were probable not what the good nuns had intended.
