At some point during a crux the condemned will face the realization this is where she will spend her life and yelling, crying, resisting are futile...
 
I like the way they're apparently having to hitch their own wrists to the chains,
though presumably someone else chains up their ankles after the stools are taken away.
The cross on the wall behind them is familiar, I have seen them before, good to see them again.​

The problem is not to hang on the cross, the problem will come later.
