The human squirms as one of the guards binds her ankles together with ropes - he does not want her flailing nor kicking about while they pierce her wrists and nail her to the crossbeam. Once her wrists have both been pierced, she fears that they will cut the ropes, more terrible things may happen to her...

Off to her right, the other guard continues to lend himself to the exact placement of the nail on her wrist. It is an exact science, and he will not mess it up. Once the second guard has finished tying her ankles, he moves up to pin down the human's arm - that way, the other one will only have to focus on driving the nail into her wrist.

The human stares at the large nail with disbelief. Soon, that sharp and rusty iron will disappear into the delicate flesh of her wrist. She cries in protest and fear. She begs them to stop. She pleads for mercy. Her capitol offense was not too great as to merit this punishment. But it is too late. The executioner draws back his left arm, and raises the hammer high in the air. In a matter of seconds, she will feel unimaginable levels of pain. She screams in fear, but cannot force herself to avert her gaze from what is happening.

The hammer falls...

Very, very, nicely done, Cadre. The storytelling is as good as the pictures.

:goodjob:

I was going to make a joke about it being a mistake to take advise from commercials...
But, silver is a pretty good investment right now. It's been outperforming gold & the demand is only going to increase due to it's use in the electronics industry.
Current price: $14.32 per ounce.

The thick metal of the hammer meets the rusty nail-head with startling force. The sharp point of the nail is driven into the condemned human's wrist. It splits skin, flesh, and nerves as it pierces her. She tries to jerk the arm away, but the guard holds it tightly. She throws her head backwards in absolute shock, pain, and fear. A pitiful but loud scream escapes from her lungs. Her back spasms out of her control and arches without her intending it to do so. Her breasts thrust outwards. Her mind is reeling. The guards are relentless, and continue their work despite her screams.

The guards have done their work swiftly: nailing the condemned spy to her crossbeam, and hoisting it up onto the upright stipes. The human cannot believe what is happening; her world is spinning and reeling. Her mind seems almost unable (or unwilling) to grasp what has happened, and what will continue to be. Namely, the pain. An unimaginable sort of pain throbbing throughout her entire being. First, the pain had only been limited to a sharp and fiery sensation in her wrist as the hammer fell. But then, as she was hoisted up, and her feet were also affixed to the cross with a nail, her whole body seemed to be encompassed with pain. She would never had thought that her delicate being could endure so much pain...

As she begins to writhe on her cross, the guard stares at her to admire his work. But he soon leaves as there is another to deal with. The human, meanwhile, is left to her thoughts, and her pains. Her 24 years of life were to be ended cruelly on this cross. A painful fire creeps its way up into the veins of her arms as she hangs from her wrists. She twists and squirms in an attempt to find a position that will inflict the least amount of pain - she finds no such position. She gasps for breath, and turns her head to look up at her nailed wrist. Her mind is encompassed by disbelief almost as much as her body is consumed with pain.

She struggles to watch tiny streams of blood seep from the wound in her wrist. She watches as her hand trembles and quivers in sheer pain. She exhales and her mind lends itself to despair. 24 years of life ended by this, the most brutal form of execution. She cannot help but think of her heinous crime as she suffers.

The crowd watches the condemned human suffer. They eagerly await the guards to finish their work with the other condemned women...

Bloody marvellous, Cadre! Bloody and marvellous! :)

Doesn't the sign of the cross and wooden stakes make vampires weak? If being pinned by nails in sunlight, on a wooden cross doesn't painfully kill the vampire, perhaps nothing will! Perhaps in this word, slow, erotic, crucifixion is the usual way of killing a vampire woman, since it slowly drains them of all the blood they sucked. Other presumably evil creatures are suplicated to torturous crux to just ensure they aren't vampires.

True - there's no limit in this fabricated world where demons yearn for the cross, vampires are timid, and only crucifixions will sate a hungry mob
