Nicely put, Eulalia. Apropos, last night on French news I viewed a documentary about the French seaside destination of Nice that last year suffered a terrorist truck bomb blast on the Promenade des Anglais. It caused upward of 150 deaths and injuries. Parts of some victims were found 2kms away. Nice is a town that lives (or dies) by tourism. Immediately the city hired more Municipal Police and installed 1530 cameras, one on each street corner, all with instant 360° capabilities. The system feeds into a control room where, for example, they can spot pickpockets robbing victims, follow them from camera to camera, and send cops to intercept and arrest them. It's not China yet but getting there.

I will definitely try it! thanks a lot (if it works that will be awesome!)

I just don't know how much it will affect the resulting image quality during rendering (I do everything in 4k resolution)

and once upon a time I used a similar plugin for reducing textures (the resolution was noticeably higher, the render was done in 8 minutes - a larger scene took about 15 minutes... but the quality was not great...)

I'll try it, and then I'll write my impressions.

Tonderghie, Gaelic 'ton ar gaoith', 'backside to the wind', quite a common name for houses in the Highlands (well, it's a sensible way to face!)
