This thought hit me today. Why should one feel ashamed of being hanged naked on a cross... Even Blaire thought it would be for the pleasure of her mistress and masters. Tree must think more on this...

Tree climbs up the mound carrying about 30 feet of belt-fed ammunition for Gunner's M-60, a cooler, and a cheap lawn chair. He opened cooler and fetched a premixed Seven and water from it.
“I’m thirsty, Tree” Messa says as Tree unravels the belt of bullets draped around his neck and shoulders.”
He opens one of his ‘premixed 7 and waters’ and takes a long slug. Gunner and Bull work to connect the ammunition belt onto the belt that still hung from the M-60. Bull looked back at Tree sitting in the cheap lawn chair and said “The crowd is getting a bit rowdy.”
I must admit I shouldn’t have helped them out since they were going for their certification and I was signing it. I fired two 30 round clips in front of the crowd (no, the clips are not illegal in Missouri) but they did back off.
A very light cloud of gunpowder drifted past the mound. I took a drink when I heard Messa call down “Where have you been, Tree???”
“Busy, he lied”
