the position of the crucifix is wonderful, so naked and open to everyone's view

As a good Jewish girl I was told that many of my ancient Jewish foremothers ended their lives on the Roman cross. That we are a matrilineal people because us Jewish women were so often sold and raped and married to Gentile men/conquerors.

i can relate. i'm a burnee instead of a cruxie, but being a redhead, i was told early and often how many of my ancestors likely burned alive and it definitely inspired some early fantasies.

Oh! In 70 CE the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Second Temple. Many Jewish, Samaritan, Indumean, Arab...anyone really, could end up on a cross at that time. And I often fantasized about being captured by the Romans as a Jewish rebel woman, raped, scourged, then crucified
