Terrible news indeed. I really hope you'll find a way to continue your work.
I'm already working on it....

and it's terribly annoying...

well, I'll do a few currencies, for sure...honestly, I'll be back in May...maybe...get all the props, it'll take fucking time...

and then I started learning with blender, I decided to make some props of my own for crosses, impaled fields and torture... yes it will take time.

but until I die, I fight.

You're right, @Aluafaen et Rimmon Ra, that is disastrous news!

I'm so sorry to hear it. :(

One thing I will say, though:

Your talent and imagination was not stored on that ssd drive. ;)
And this is a very astute and perceptive response. It's not like what you lost is totally irreplaceable, like family pics, business docs, etc. You do this your own way for your own pleasure and I'm sure any/many of your artists friends would help you reconstitute much of what you've lost.
And besides, you're always evolving, trying something new anyway.
I'm actually eager to see how this temporary setback motivates and inspires you to even more excellent production!
Still, sorry to hear, it's gotta be discouraging. Take a break and know that it's not your absolute output I'm interested in, I just can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Best regards!!!

so you have about 1tb of content installed..another 1tb left...

but I made a smaller picture for Emyli (Mp5stab or Hairs and Nails)

so hopefully he will like it... and yes, I'm back here.

See! I told you that you hadn't lost your talent! :clapping:

So dear i finally finished renovating my data. and I am finally insured against a similar incident.
I have a backup.

So, I'm back! ;)

As the Sildor Empire constantly expands into new parts of the world, constantly finding new and terrifying methods of execution, the empire traditionally crucifies its enemies, but since the empire has come up with a new and frightening method of execution, and the Amazonian warriors put up an extremely tough and persistent resistance and gave The Sildor legions suffered very painful losses, they decided to show their enemies one of the new types of execution, specially reserved for Amazonian women..... Impaled.

Mass impalement .It's a whole forest of stakes. Interesting. Did you immediately render the entire scene, or did you have to render in pieces, and then combine them in Photoshop.

it is a more complicated procedure and the composition of 4 scenes into one in affinity photo, because photoshop cannot do some things that are taken for granted in affinity.

and yes, we like the name...forest of stakes

Tree is not a big fan of impalement, but you could make him appreciate the 'art'!!!

It seems the women have to assist in impaling their own companions, and preparing their own execution spots, before they join in the chorus of agony? A cruelly evil touch!

yes, some of the girls are forced to help dig holes for stakes, and others have to watch from the cage...but each of the girls basically digs her own hole...the girl who impales the girls is not condemned, she is part of the imperial legions, and she's one of Andraste's helpers...you can see a female legionnaire in the back.

originally I wanted to have a much bigger scene here, but the loss of the disc, we pretty much screwed it up.. and I only restored about half of what I had there.. but honestly, that's enough.

Unfortunately, it's really bugging me that I've completely lost the duf, pose and scene files from my story Fall of barbarian queen, and actually all the others (I don't have a way to follow up anymore!) fuck...

so the only option, and that's really the only option, is to start from scratch and use the mistakes! the advantage is that I know how, the disadvantage is that it took us about half a year to create the scenes... but I had to deal with props, poses, and other things... and all of that is now in my head... so the restart will be faster...

but I want to start with a reboot of my original series, from the amphitheater.. I didn't give it a name (I started here then, and photoshop was a foreign concept to me), so let's call it a reboot.

and as with me, I'm a megalomaniac...and I'm getting better with every picture.

Thanks.

An astonishingly complex scene. I like the idea with the horse.
i won it in the Polish film Mr. Wolodyjowsky 1969... so I used the same principle...

if only i had a little more powerful pc...then i wouldn't have to combine the scenes in affinity...but honestly jucundus, you taught me a lot!!
morphs, light, and pose I learned it from you... but now I learn new things on my own.. I observe, ask questions, watch videos, and experiment.

:(but it's getting more and more difficult...mainly because my children are in the period when they are interested in everything...and also my son tested how waterproof my external drive is, and threw it into my 160l auarium...unfortunately only found out after coming home from work...

This is one of those paintings that the longer you look at it, the more you like it. If you look at it more closely, you will find a lot of interesting moments.
For example, a girl who lies on the ground. It is clear that she will now be administered a count. Purely technical questions. The horse probably needs to be led slowly and carefully so that the stake enters smoothly and does not tear the girl ahead of time.
At the same time, the stake is held in a fixed position by another girl. Will she be strong enough to keep him?
After all, the horse will pull the victim onto the stake with great force. Newton's third law. Isn't a mighty Roman strongman needed for this job?

 small detail... the girl is not holding the stake in the air... it is supported by the branch below it (look closely!);)

;)the girl doesn't even have to hold the stake, she just directs it to the right place... and the horse walks along, the centurion only makes sure that it walks correctly... since the horse is trained on command, it's not a problem... yes, sometimes that doesn't work and the stake comes out very quickly (through the chest...but usually the stake is stuck roughly below the navel...sometimes even deeper.
