All girls Catholic High School wasn't like that when I went. Maybe if it had been I might have paid more attention in class (probably not as I'd want to be the object lesson not the pupils).

The coed Catholic high school I went to wasn't like that either. My main concern was smoking weed and checking out the girls in their plaid skirts.

I was in HS from the fall of 1997 to the spring of 2001. You could not go bare legged (and no high heels) but knee highs, stockings (the skirts were long enough that you could go with garters) or pantyhose were acceptable. Oh COURSE (it was a Catholic HS) they had to be demure.

And we had a long pants option (and BOY were they UGLY).

Since I played sports knee highs worked out the best on a daily basis.

There were some, mostly seniors (so 17-19). I only did it once on a day we were going to have a dance at the school that night, The damn things ripped getting them back on after gym class so in the future I just packed them.

Generally I preferred to go bare legged.
