Why the heck have I memorised it as Edwardian? The story takes place in 1814, so it's George III (and his son as Prince Regent). But as far as I remember the story, the treaty is part of the main character's inheritance and sealed before the independence -- but I really have to re-watch it to be sure on that one.

Yes, I thought you might have meant Georgian And I wasn't quite right about the East India Co. having nothing to do with the American Colonies - it was the EIC which (being at the time on the verge of bankruptcy) was empowered by the UK Parliament in 1773 to export some of its tea across the Atlantic - which led to the Boston Tea Party! So the scenario isn't quite so improbable, though still pretty far-fetched.

I should add that the script has a low-key supernatural touch to it (not affecting our plausibility issue) -- still well-written, though.

This is a great example of how a scene can be damned hot even without nudity. Sandra Knight fills out that dress so arousingly that’s it’s enough to see the pain on her face and hear the anguish in her voice as she is stretched.

In the course of a bank robbery a girl (Kristine Froseth) is taken hostage, handcuffed and used as a human shield during the high speed chase that follows.



Seemingly filmed in one shot and from the protagonist's point of view, this music video to The Weeknd's eponymous song borrows heavily from Hardcore Henry (2015) and, indirectly, from the ego shooter scene in Doom (2005). One may consider it odd, though, that the video shows a guard being executed via a graphic head shot, yet finds it necessary to blur out any potential panty shots (see picture 5).

A remake of Bron/Broen, the story of two coppers from either side of the border teaming up has been relocated from Sweden and Denmark to the USA and Mexico.

In episode "Rakshasa" Sonya from north of the border (Diane Krüger) finds herself being abducted by a hitman for professional reasons. He takes her into the desert and occupies himself with digging her grave (not without assisting her in emptying her bladder). With her ankles zip-tied, she hobbles away, but her soon-to-be murderer catches up with her easily. In a cocky move, he cuts the zip-ties and tape-binds her knees and thighs instead, sending her off again whilst he continues the grunt work.
