Yes, I have recently become familiar with theseus’s vignettes, I think they are excellent and I would recommend them. For anyone interested here is the link:Ohhh you’re in for a real treat if @theseus does write another vignette. Check out his “Vignettes From the Slave Pits” thread (also in resources too) if you’re unfamiliar, it’s full of treasure

Totally agreeI love George Miller and think he was a much overlooked innovator as a director.
Mmmmm… I think I disagree. The original is the quintessential low budget gearhead movie… given those limitations it carries a straightforward plot sublimely well.Mad Max 2 was and still is the best of them.
Yes the aesthetics are decent and I love the costumes, particularly the escaping girls robes. But the acting is completely wooden and the plot poorly executed. To have such a brilliant actor as Tom Hardy and just waste his talent. Apparently he and Charlize Theron were absolutely at loggerheads, to the extent it ruined any hope of onscreen chemistry. And the fact that the unexpected wet In Broken Hill forced them to film in Tunisia, removing entirely the Australian character of the first 3…The newer ones are great to look at visually, thoughh.
I see your points and know the history behind the making of them, yes.Totally agree

But 2 is bloody brilliant too!

Also not nearly enough Australian actors…

She knows she's going to be used and raped multiple times, but she wouldn't be so calm if she knew what was going to happen in between.Apologies for getting a bit off track…here’s something to make up for it!

I think, she already must have noticed the manacles at the end of that chain, going over a pulley, and a few other objects! She knows she's going to be used and raped multiple times, but she wouldn't be so calm if she knew what was going to happen in between.
"Can't you see!? She is gaining time! While we are busy with her, the other conspirators are getting away!"Apologies for getting a bit off track…here’s something to make up for it!

"Can't you see!? She is gaining time! While we are busy with her, the other conspirators are getting away!"
"But at least, we got her!"
"Idiot! Then, why is that arrogant bitch still dressed and allowed to calmly sit there!? Get a knife, tear off these garments and start what you should already be doing!"
Abundant scope for a successful interrogation there.View attachment 1463266
“Now, get to it!”
Mad max 2 one of my favourites, although I think Hugh Keays-Byrne’s "Toecutter" in the first film was a truly terrifying villain.I love George Miller and think he was a much overlooked innovator as a director.
Mad Max 2 was and still is the best of them.
The newer ones are great to look at visually, though.
Ill watch anything he makes…even Babe!
I love the lighting and overall atmosphere of your work. Makes it really easy to visualize all sorts of nefarious things happening to the poor girl.View attachment 1463266
