I thought I would bump this thread with a picture of the Yorkshire entry to the Red Bull soap-box race. Built by the team at a local hairdressers called 'Hair Force One':

It's probably just as real as his own hair. The guys seem to have a more natural color than he does.

The United States Air Force has female pilots. I believe some are even combat pilots--I saw some in news footage during the first Gulf war. I don't know about the Navy. What about the RAF?

The RAF certainly has female pilots, and I think I saw a few years ago the first combat one.

We recently commemorated the life of one of the last female pilots from the Air Transport Auxiliary. They flew every sort of military plane from the factory to the RAF base during WW2, from Spitfires to heavy bombers, sustaining many casualties.

She's doing it wrong ..

I remember that scene from "Cool Hand Luke" - the girl washing the car in front of the chain gang of convicts working on the road in front of her house. I think it was George Kennedy who said, "She doesn't know what she's doing!" And Paul Newman said, "No, she knows exactly what she's doing!"

Your memory is better than mine! I think I saw that movie back about 1972, which is a good while ago I guess. I never forgot that scene, the one where they had him trying to swallow his 50th hard-boiled egg, and the quote, "What we have here is failure to communicate!"

For those who don't remember or never saw the movie:
The actress was Joy Harmon. Her "biggest" role was in the b-movie "Village of the Giants" where she played one of a group of teenagers made into giants by radioactive something or other.

Luke and Dragline ( Kennedy ) got all the money in camp riding on a bet he could eat 50 eggs . Luke played them until there was no more money to bet . HLuke 11.pnge ate the last egg and won . Interesting thing is Luke was a Martyr in the film . After the eggs he is laying on a table like Christ on the Cross.
