Elizabeth had the misfortune to be an English convict on a Royal Navy ship. For an infraction of Navy rules, she was sentenced to a dozen lashes, but for convicts, a "dozen" was 25. So she got 25 lashes with the Navy whip, which was heavier than the whips normally used to punish convicts. She got the worst of both worlds. The Mary Bryant Whipping Scene is legendary, it's sat there on YouTube for anyone wishing to view it, and it's a very arousing scene (for me as a sadist at least)! I think the woman whipped is called Elizabeth although Mary is the main character. Elizabeth's agonised screams are raw and gutteral, it's so sexy.
ALSO AT THIS LINK, MINUTE 45The 1977 spaghetti western "Mannaja" (released with English dubbing as "A Man Called Blade") has a nice -- although sadly interrupted -- judicial whipping scene. The set up concerns a travelling female vaudeville troupe dancing the can-can in the town main street, when the mayor turns up with his ruffians to stop the show. His guys grab the dancing girls and the mayor gives the order:
"Give 20 lashes to each of these sinners then shave off their hair, and may the Good Lord on high drive out the issue of Satan. [Points to lead dancer] Start with that, she's howling like a demon in person".
The girls are then tied to, and facing, the posts supporting the boardwalk in front of the saloon (nice close-up on the tied wrists). The lead girl's dress is torn down to expose her back and she's getting four vicious (and quite explicit) lashes with a long single-strand bull whip, while the other girls look on tied to their respective posts awaiting their turn. Unfortunately, this is where it stops as the titular "Blade" interferes by throwing his tomahawk at the rope to free the girl's wrists, wherupon chaos breaks out and the girls get rescued. So, only four lashes on one back rather than 20 each on six, and no headshaving. Still a pretty good scene.
The movie is in full and in English on Youtube. The scene starts at 44:40min
A few screencaps I've made:

Pretty good scene, I concur.ALSO AT THIS LINK, MINUTE 45
It’s lovely to see a small sample of such treasures, yes. What you’ve shared this far is overall welcomed.Hope its okay to post up all the whipping related images from the Flemis comic "Bakelandt" here...
This scene has all the elements. Tension is built up when the indentured servant spoils the sale of a wife being sold apart from her husband. Next is the servant being strung up for the whipping and the back of her shirt ripped apart. The whipping is stopped by the villain who took ownership of the indentured servant illegally because he had sexual desire for her. It would be great in an AI animation to see the villain take the servant back to his plantation and after being rejected for making sexual advances he orders her whipped. This time she is stripped naked. Strung up to the torcher pole with her legs tied apart and whipped mercilessly.Pretty good scene, I concur.
It reminds me of another beautfitul scene in the movie "Unconquered". The main female character, who's an indentured servant, gets punished with the whip at the beginning of the film. Her hands are tied to a post, and her dress is torn. Very unfortunately (), she's rescued by the hero just before the whipping actually begins. This scene has a definitive appeal, though. The movie can be found on YT, but I don't know when the scene exactly starts. Here's some vidcap
I'm sure most are familiar with this one...probably the best in the whole comic series.

What an on board ship whipping should be like. Pity the spoilsport jumped in, she should have more lashes!
I love the old style of comic art. Very pin-up. It shows everything, while showing nothing. Comic women never looked better.Earlier I'd shown a scan from a bettie page comic...which copied an older Flash Gordon comic. Here below is that flash Gordon comic strip (which I guess inspired the movie scene as well somewhat? I don't know)

Sort of gives it an impressionistic vibe. The mind fills in the imperfections with emotion.True enough. Its funny because there are so many imperfections (even the colors aren't quite lined up with the lines) and still ends up being hotter than many comics that are trying to be so. Strange how that works.
I love these scenes taken from mainstream comics!
