Although I like and appreciate Danillegs' work, and would welcome his own thread, I think the steak/Dolcett comment was hilarious. It reminds of that very graphic and overdone scourging scene in "The Last Temptation of Christ." While I get the intent and purpose, that kind of treatment would have rapidly resulted in profound hemodynamic shock.
"Shock value," yes. Reality, no!
And, having lived in England, Althanie's use of "totting" could actually be quite appropriate and ironic. I suggest you Google it.
With reference to a "boundary line," "toeing" and "totting" infer different things. 'Nuff said!
Ok ok I undestood and I already understood Althanie.
Everyone has his own grade of fantasy shadow. Clear.
With a base of infinity Renaissance crucifictions images in my own eyes I simply don't "accept" , at incoscius level , a body ( female body is my taste ) without signs of tortures on it or at least real suffering on face.
I see great artists who puts splendid women models on cross with two or three drops of blood from the nails or with hair as just outgoing from a hairdresser, whipmarks as stripes of lipstick...and so on.
I'm admired by their ability and
maestria, but I'm not switched on by these.
I'm not an artist and I'm not able to create this kind of images from scratch so, when I find something I'd like to "improve" , I ask to the artist if I can. I asked to
@Condemned One and
@Briccone and they said no problem.
You're right my sources of inspiraton are "Last Temptation" ( I watched just few frames too violent for me - and then it'is a male scene
), "twelve years slave", "cathedral of the Sea", Quoom crucifiction comics and, as novels, Tarquinius Rex whipping and crucifiction ( great ) and
@GabriellaSivilla " Gabriella scourged to death " and "Golgotha" ( very great ).
What I like within my fantasy scenario is "as real as possible"
I repeat again I fully understand and respect all tastes.
So I'll try to start with a new thread called
"Dedicated to Vampires "
Thank for suggestion
