Crucified males

A couple of nice crucifixions in the latest passion plays. not bad bodies and loincloths. I also love the stipes etc formation using the 'Jesus of Nazareth' film type of lattice... such would work out well if crucifying multiple victims, a nice simple and safe method at that.

Consistently, the Alcorisa Passion Play has been one of the best over the past years
There are several versions you can search for that are all good.

Ave,

related to the (hopefully upcoming) passion play season 2019 I found something which may be of interest for some other members, too:
The "Jacksonville Passion Play" is normally presented on YT about six months after easter (at least that was the case in the recent years), so we still have to wait for it ... but as a "preview" they posted a video about the rehearsal of the play with a few seconds with these boys as the "thieves" on their crosses - and that looks pretty good in my opinion.
I hope they keep these two in the final version, very much my taste.

So, here for your anticipation the first impression. I hope they dont ruin these nice bodies by too much blood makeup or bad lighting.

best regards
Ty.

very nice the two guys, too bad they are too dressed ....
Yes, crucifixion is all about pain and total humiliation. And of course totally naked, those beautiful agonized faces, the sweat and blood. Not so much one for dainty crux images; I love to get right to the torture and pain and of course the public gratification. These three will die together, but so much alone,

Well, I see your point, but you can not compare the nakedness in the (controversial) Scorsese-movie with a traditional passion play performance organized by a conservative church.
Both are in my opinion different art styles depicting the worlds most famous crucifixion, born from "christian", religous tradition, and both have for me their place in the variety of crucifixion depictions.
If you are only "inspired" by complete nakedness, that is OK and a matter of "taste". I personally like the traditional loincloth covered body on the cross, too - if the victim and other factors are in accordance with my "taste". In that case other aspects are eventually more important than complete nakedness.
Everybody should enjoy the style fitting to his personal preferences.

Great response, thank you.
